Inpatient Hospital Care

     Our inpatient psychiatric hospital is an acute care unit for patients aged 62 and older who need short-term psychiatric intervention and stabilization. Located in west Boise, our 22-bed secured hospital features:
24-hour RNs.
high staff to patient ratio (up to 1 on 1 as needed).
on-site pharmacy.
individualized treatment plans.
family visitation and involvement.
psychiatric physicians on call and on rounds.

Patient Services
     Upon admission, each patient receives a psychiatric evaluation, physical examination and social assessment. Our case managers work with the treatment team and family to create a customized treatment and discharge plan. Depending on the needs of each individual, services may include:
physical, occupational and speech therapies, with respitory care.
group and individual therapies.
family or couples counseling.
individualized treatment plans.
medication management.
therapeutic recreation.
special diets.
